2009 Sea Glass Festival Schedule:
Special Activites:
Island Artisan Abe Waterman will be creating a life size mermaid in sand at the Wood Islands site. He has created as part of award winning teams, life-size images in sand and ice at winter and summer festivals in Canada.
Local Wood Artist, Ellis Decker will be showing and demonstrating the art of ‘Killick’ making and net making on the Lighthouse grounds. A Killick is an ancient anchor made entirely of wood and stone.
We will also have face painting and a childrens story-telling time by local librarians.

Friday, July 17 ‘Plough the Waves’ Visitor Center
5-6pm Pre-presentation event for Vendors and Committee Members
6:30pm Presentation, Book Signing and Shard Appraisal by Richard LaMotte, Author ‘Pure Sea Glass’. Open to all.
Saturday, July 18, Wood Islands Lighthouse Grounds
8-10am Artisan Setup/Continental Breakfast for Vendors
9:30-5:30pm Lighthouse Tours. Admission charged for this event.
10am Bake Sale
10-5pm Meet and Swap! For everyone, bring your sea glass, meet new friends, talk about sea glass!
Tables and Chair provided.

10:30am Children’s Sea Glass Hunt Begins!

Food and Beverages will be sold on the grounds throughout the day.
